B	Bodnari Cristina on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO YOURSELF SOME GOOD AND CHOOSE OTHER ACCOMODATIONS!!! Worst accomodations ever!!! Firstly, we got a super small room with a window that was facing another people room,so we had full lights on until 3 am and the walls were so thiny that you could actually hear the others breathing (not even exaggerating). After complaining about it we got another room in a "not ready yet, but one of the most awesome apartaments", were besides the fact that we didn't even had toilet paper, the cleaning was poor, we didn't had towels, shower gel, soap, wi-fi or other things that they've told us they would provide us, the toilet also clogged and no one was willing to came, so we stayed 3 days with a clogged toilet and we had to go to any close bars/restaurants to use their bathrooms...
R	R Portuguese on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff member Laurent looked bothered when we arrived and gave a very unwelcome feeling. We booked an appartement with a double bed but were given a room in a hostel with three single beds. No explanation what so ever, no apology, only an excuse "that the bed broke two days ago" and that there was no other room available. They didn't bother mentioning this in their email when they asked us when we would arrive the day before. Unhappy about this arrangement we approached an other member of staff, Benjamin, who managed to arrange us an another room with a double bed. This room being much nicer we accepted it. However as I took of my shoes and walked around a bit to unpack, the soles of my feet turned black. After a quick look under the bed and seeing the thick layer of dust that must have been there for months, I rushed to the bathroom to take the mop and swept the floor myself. When check out time was there and they asked me to please rate them 5 stars and like them on fb I explained them why I wouldn't. As a respond I got a very sarcastic "thank you, bye" from Laurent. When you have time to lean, you have time to clean!
A	Alex Stacey on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stay at Budapest ruined due to literal lack of room and stress. What kind of service puts you in the wrong room, kicks you out of it, and then gives you the wrong keys to the other apartment, and then tries to blame you, and then doesn't give any refund? Historic Apartments does. Initially they directed us to a room (3 floors up), we unpacked and were getting ready for dinner and as we were about to leave someone came in and told us they had given us the wrong room. We were kind and didn't fuss about it, and we repacked and moved our stuff 4 blocks down to the place we had actually booked. They gave us keys for the new place, but when we came back at midnight the keys would not work. No one would answer any calls or knocking, so we ended up sleeping the night outside our paid for appartment due to their wrong key-giving. In the morning, the owner of the building confirmed the keys were wrong. We went the historic budapest reception, and they started blaming us, saying we were the ones at wrong. So we showed them video proof, and they said there was nothing they could do. We emailed the owners several times and have got no response nor refund for our stay at Budapest ruined due to lack of sleep and stress.

Thank you very much for your support, the basement gave me a memorable days in Budapest. I understand the review from both sides. But I think all in all I never regret that I chose for my first and (maybe) last stay in Hungary!!! Köszönöm!!??????????
J	Joline van Poppel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ + : The staff is very friendly, helpfull and welcoming. Good and central location. Well equiped kitchen. Bathroom and toilet is basic, but clean. Warm and heated rooms. - : Very noisy because of doors that are not closing the room off (too short). You hear everything that is happening in the rooms around you and in the corridor. The bed in the single room has had its best time, needs to be replaced.
W	Wendy Fraser on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked this under the name Royal Rooms to find out its actually called Historic Apartments. I would not of booked here knowing this, it did not feel clean at all, there was stains on the bedding and pillows. The fold out bed provided was definitely not suited to sleeping, the mattress was about an inch thick over a harsh metal frame. Also, a bad smell through out the entire apartment. On top of this, there was no locks on any of the bathroom doors, how are we meant to shower in a shared apartment with strangers? We found an air bnb quickly and close by as we didn’t feel safe or clean in this accommodation. The lady at the reception desk was nice enough, and tried to find a solution, but our opinion was that if one apartment and room is that unclean, then how is another room going to be any better? Do not stay here if you wish to enjoy your stay in Budapest.

Unfortunately it was not really clean, the shower has really seen better days, it is located in a real hot spot but with that comes a noise from the street which cannot be ignored. Bed sheets didn't smell nice. The included breakfast restaurant had ridiculous unfriendly service. We felt if you weren't a "paying" guest and just had vouchers they treated you differently fir example that they refused to give us a table outside, even though all tables were empty.
E	Emily Smith on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apartment was nice and spacious beds were much comfier than they looked! Location was very ideal, within walking distance of most attractions and restaurants/bars. However apartment wasn't the cleanest on arrival (towel was dirty). Breakfast was the same every day, filling but would have been nice to have a bit more variety for the price paid. Overall a good stay, price is more reflective of location than quality which is what we were looking for so will depend on personal preference.
