★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Honfoglalási-emlékmű márványtömbje a város szempontjából két fontos eseményt örökít meg. Az emlékmű előoldalán: V. István bronz domborműve melletti felírat: "V. István 1271-ben adományozott királyi városi jogokat Győrnek". Mária Terézia bronz domborműve melletti felírat: "Mária Terézia 1743-ban adományozott szabad királyi városi jogot Győrnek". Az alsó részen Győr város bronz címere mellett: "A Honfoglalás 1100. évfordulóján emeltette Győr városa, emlékezve a fejlődést segítő uralkodókra és Győr polgáraira, akik harccal és munkájukkal vívták ki a kiváltságokat" vésett felírat olvasható.
Az emlékmű hátoldalán 896-tól 1990-ig terjedő időszakra vonatkozóan Győr városának fontosabb eseményei vannak megörökítve, 14 db bronz érem elhelyezésével. (Cedrus nyomán)
 The marble block of the Conquest Memorial commemorates two important events for the city. On the obverse of the monument is the inscription next to the bronze relief of István V. "István V. donated royal city rights to Győr in 1271". The inscription next to the bronze relief of Maria Theresa: "Maria Theresa granted free royal city right to Győr in 1743". In the lower part, beside the bronze coat of arms of the city of Győr, "The city of Győr was erected on the 1100th anniversary of the Conquest, in memory of the rulers and citizens of Győr, who promoted the privileges of their struggle and work."
On the back of the monument from 896 to 1990, the most important events of the city of Győr are recorded with 14 bronze medals. (Following Cedrus)
