The stay was great, we asked to expend the check out and the staff were very helpful and pleasant, allowing us to check out later for a very reasonable price. So glad we stayed here.

Stayed with my friend, to celebrate her birthday. we received a very warm welcome (welcoming champagne) and by the time we entered the room there’s been a bottle of house champagne, an extra bottle of wine plus the requested birthday card - my friend was super happy, hence was I. Had incredible tasty food and drinks at the hotel bar where Sebastian from service has taken excellence care of us!! Really appreciated his way of taking good care of us! We will be back soon, even if only for a cocktail.

Just over 1 month prior to arriving to the hotel, I coordinated with the hotel concierge regarding ride transfers from the airport in Budapest to the hotel. 1 week prior to my arrival, I verified my ride transfer, providing my flight information, arrival time, baggage count, guest count, and contact details; and was informed everything was arranged. Once more, the day before my arrival, I was reassured that arrangements had been made for my airport pick-up. On the night I arrived at the airport, no driver was there to pick me up. I called the Clark Hotel, speaking with the receptionist, and he informed me that driver was “10-15 minutes away” and that they would be “driving a black Mercedes.” After 45 minutes, I called the hotel again, speaking with the receptionist once more. He had to call me back in 5 minutes so he could figure out what was wrong. When he called back, he informed me there was a misunderstanding between the hotel and the ride service company and that my reservation was never placed. This means the confirmation provided in the emails exchanged between the staff and myself was false. The receptionist then requested I take a taxi to the hotel, for which I paid out of pocket. Then upon arriving to the hotel, informed me that the ride company will offer me a free ride transfer back to the airport upon my departure date. I was actually surprised when the driver showed up. Furthermore, I booked the Seventh Heaven room. The room was nice. However, the tub piping was flawed and therefore flooded when my wife and I attempted to take a bath. We went down to the desk to have someone come up to attend to the flooding as we were leaving. When we returned, the floor was dry, but our room smelled horrid.

Beautiful hotel! Stunning decor. Breakfast was fabulous. Stunning view from our hotel room (unfortunately the Chain Bridge is currently under construction). Don't forget to check out the rooftop cocktail bar! Great atmosphere and so romantic!

Perfect!! Apprehensive at first about staying here due to current conflict in Ukraine and travelling from the UK but was assured by both embassy’s and the hotel that it was fine. I stay away a lot with work and stay in some very nice hotels at times. The hotel Clark did not disappoint and it deserves another star in my opinion, the level of service is second to none, nothing was an effort or too much and they really pulled out the stops for my birthday. I work on super yachts for work I know what a high level service is and these guys didn’t disappoint. I’m not one to write reviews normally but I feel these guys deserve it and need it with the current situation, tourism is a big part of Budapest and without it people don’t get paid and suffer in other ways.

The reduction from 5 stars to 4 is a reflection of how good the service at this hotel is. We decided to pay a little extra for a bridge/ river view, however, the bridge was undergoing some major refurbishment at the time of our stay (obviously not the hotel’s fault). The “room with a view” came at a cost - it was on the small side, which is what “boutique” hotels a renowned for! What made our short stay was the service. Starting with the evening porter (we arrived after 12 midnight) who was splendid “ take a seat and fill out the guest information whilst I complete your check in”. Breakfast was superb - perfectly cooked poached eggs and selection of meats and cheese as well as the usual fruit and pastries. The rooftop bar and restaurant offer a great view across city but the Leo Bistro on ground floor has a better menu. The staff are incredible going that “extra mile” we keep looking for. 2 points in particular for me. 1 a late check out allowed until 10pm at no extra charge! (our flight was 12 midnight) and 2 taking the time call the clinic to get my PCR test resent due to a mess up with password protection.

What a fantastic hotel! Firstly I just wanted to say a huge thankful to this wonderful hotel for making our stay so fantastic! They really couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay and really made my boyfriends birthday perfect. The service in every area was brilliant, the staff were so friendly and really went out of their way to make sure we were happy. I contacted the hotel before our stay regarding supporting with some special birthday touches to our room and they absolutely smashed it! He was so surprised and the cake was delicious. The staff also reassured me regarding the current situation in the neighbouring country as this was a concern prior to visiting, but they made me feel 100% comfortable. My boyfriend is extremely well traveled and stays in many hotels and is a great judge of a good hotel and he absolutely loved it here. Everything was spotlessly clean in the room and throughout the hotel and the view was stunning. The breakfast was fantastic, every morning the service was impeccable and the food was delicious. I honestly couldn’t recommended this hotel enough, we have the best weekend together and stay here was a huge part of it and a holiday I’ll never forget. I can’t wait to come back to this wonderful hotel again soon. Thank you Hotel Clark

An excellent hotel. The staff is A+. The design is stunning. The location is almost perfect; when the bridge is complete, it will be A+. The food at both associated restaurants is lovely. The only two things I’d change are the quality of the sheets and making the shower doors longer, but those were huge issues to me. We will recommend this hotel to all of our friends.
