We really enjoyed our stay at the Erzsebet Hotel. We stayed four nights and had three single beds in our room. For only £306 for 3 people, this is a really great price for the location of the hotel, especially when it includes breakfast! It was quiet at night which is good, with it being a little louder on the Friday evening - something expected for the location. This didn’t disrupt our sleep at all, as the windows were double glazed. The air conditioning did appear to need a re-gas, as it didn’t seem as cold as expected. This wasn’t a problem for us, as we left our windows open during the day. The breakfast is served 7-10am, with cooked & raw meats, baked goods, and cereal too. We would’ve liked to see more fresh fruit options, as we did see lots on the images online. Maybe this is something available by request? Arriving to Erzsebert from the airport, we took a local taxi. This only cost around Ft7,500. We asked the hotel to book us a taxi for the final day, and a private firm ‘ELIT’ turned up. The hotel estimated that the taxi would cost around Ft9,600 but it actually cost Ft13,000. We’d recommend using Bolt (like Uber) or just booking a local taxi for departure. Overall, we had a great time at the hotel and would return without hesitation! Köszönöm, thank you

Hotel rooms were fine and clean but one of the staff members was absurdly rude. We booked a 2 person room and one of our friends came in with us and we had a friend who came to say hello and got sick that night so we took her back to the room with us. The man came knocking at our door at 4 AM screaming at us saying we have to pay 20 euros extra and we said fine. When check out came they were very rude to me again and threatening. I told him his co-worker only said 20 euros and I was fine with that but now its 40 and they should have told us or called or emailed even!!! Then he said if I came up to them they would have given me a 3 person bedroom for us. This was a horrible and sad experience. I will never stay here again.

If there was less than one star, i would have used it ! We spent a night of hell there, while we were sleeping, my husband suddenly felt something crawling over his hand, we jumped out of bed in panic to find a huge black cockroach on the bed, we called the reception then someone looking annoyed came with a bug spray and tried to spray it out but it was useless, he wanted us to complete the night in this terror saying that we are full house! We strongly disagreed, so he offered us another room, when we reached it, we found spider web on the corner with dead insects !! And a dirty bathroom ! We couldn’t argue because this was at least better than the escaping cockroach that was not killed yet ! Next day we checked out and asked for a refund for the other 2 nights originally booked because we couldn’t get ourselves to sleep there anymore however they refused ! They typically stole our money ! Totally Unclean and unprofessional, we booked via agoda and they asked for documentation and we sent them over and the hotel response was (No refund) !!!

I have warm impressions from staying in this hotel. First of all, the location is great. Almost all attractions can be reached by foot. It is close to the metro, trams and buses. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. We were warned right away that the room cleaning is performed upon request. Overall, the room was clean, no one's hair was found =) There was no hand soap in the bathroom, but lots of shower gel. The bed was really comfy, I enjoyed sleeping there. The room seemed a bit dark: there were only a floor lamp and two wall lamps. Also, it was quite noisy from the outside and inside the hotel. Breakfast was very simple, but still we managed to get full) Thanks for the delicious pastries, I am still dreaming of the croissants! There is a great library in the lobby with vintage books, check it out, you won't regret it) The internet worked great throughout the hotel. One more advantage of the hotel is that it has an ATM. There’s an excellent, inexpensive Padthai wokbar nearby. Be sure to go there, if you like Asian cuisine)) I think that for such a budget price, this hotel is a real gem.

Location's great, within walking distance of plenty of shops and restaurants as well as attractions. Also with the option to take trams, buses or metros within 5-10min walk. Fast WiFi. Only downside was that the double bed was actually 2 single beds so there was a gap in the middle and it was uncomfortable to sleep.

Service is nice. Food is perfect. Room are cleaned and comfortable. People are welcomed despite of some customers who reacted racism in the elevator. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel served us well. It was clean, the breakfast was well organised and there was enough variety for all, with an exception of fruits and plant based (lactose free) options. Only minus was noice in the morning coming from the street due to trash collectors, since windows don’t seal well anymore- the hotel would definitely benefit from a renovation. Overall experience was good, the location is amazing and we had fine vacation.

It is a very good located hotel, in the old city center, near all the touristic important places. Very good breakfast, clean rooms, new elevator, personal very polite. As a weaknesses - the room was too small and to much noise from the street (our room had view to the street at the first floor). Maybe it's better to take room with view to the other side of the hotel! I select 5 stars because of the position of the hotel and because the report between quality of the services and prices was ok!
