★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful historical bulding. So sad it is destroyed by super ugly rooms! Despite ugly room the food is disgusting. We had half board stay so we had experience both dinner and breakfast + during christmas stay we paid extra for Gala Dinner. Which was disaster! I would not recommend eating in the hotel restaurant after this experience. The hotel eventually provided us with disscount to that special dinner however our christmas eve was distroyed.. other meals we had were also bad.. breakfast was OK not terrible. Staff were super nice and sorry we were not happy.. but at the end of the day the stay was a huge dissapointment. Definitely Nemzeti hotel is not inline with 4* !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want to stay in a beautiful hotel ideally situated in Budapest, then Hotel Nemzeti is for you. Not only is it near two metro lines (2 and 4), but it is also 15 minutes away from Andrássy avenue with the Opera house and shops and around 10 minutes on foot from the Keleti station. The hotel itself is clean and quite stylish. As it is a historical hotel you can learn a lot by reading the notes inside. We stayed in the Blaha Luisa suite which faces the inner courtyard so it was quiet and nice. The breakfasts are ok for a 4star hotel with some champagne if you like it. The staff is polite and the Internet connection is ok (no super fast, but no slow). All in all, the Hotel Nemzeti is a good choice for a traveler (just ask for a courtyard room if you want some peace and quiet)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent breakfast buffet With lox and champagne. Wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables to defeat the coronavirus. Croissant pretzel and other delicious bakery items. Grand hall for breakfast in this 120 year old hotel. A large selection of dried fruits and nuts to prepare the best muesli of your life.

Reception was friendly.
However I could not sleep 3 days because, air condition is loud; all pilllows are terible, window was not possible to open (broken ), noizy street

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautifully preserved building with great interiors. Very well located with connection to bus, tram and metro right at door step. Decent breakfast but same options each day. In our stay of 6 days, we were bored with same food options at the end of our stay. Rest of the stay was great.
