Beautiful museum located in the city center of Várpalota which in the past was an important mining center, one exploits the beautiful site there.

A Várpalota központjában álló, nemrégiben szépen felújított 600 éves, szabályos négyszög alakú, belsőtornyos Thury-vár változatos kiállításokkal várja az idelátogató turistákat. A négy saroktornyos, impozáns méretű vár egyik legépebben megmaradt magyarországi várunk Várpalota jelképe. Nevét Thury György várkapitányról kapta, aki 1566 nyarán sikeresen verte vissza a túlerőben lévő török csapatok ostromát. Palota várát 1593-ban tudta csak elfoglalni a török, kisebb megszakításokkal 94 évig volt török uralom alatt. Thury castle is very beautiful. It can be viewed on several floors. The view from the castle promontory is very nice. Located in the center of the Castle Palace, the recently beautifully renovated 600-year-old, regular rectangular Thury Castle with an internal tower awaits tourists with a variety of exhibitions. The castle with an impressive tower with four corner towers is one of the best-preserved symbols of our castle in Hungary, Várpalota. It was named after Captain György Thury, who in the summer of 1566 successfully repulsed the siege of the overwhelming Turkish troops. The palace castle could only be occupied by the Turks in 1593, with minor interruptions it was under Turkish rule for 94 years.
M	Magdolna Toth on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Szakmához közeliként kimondottan a Vegyészeti Múzeum miatt érkeztem Várpalotára.A kiállításra nagyon kíváncsi lettem volna.De:A múzeum honlapján az aktuális információ 2021-ben egy 2013-as vagy 2014-es (a kiírás alapján még ez sem eldönthető) tábor.Nyitvatarás sincs,a megadott vezetékes számon hétköznap,munkaidőben nem elérhetők.A google szeinti nyitvatartás sueint érkeuem.A múzeum zárva,a vár dolgozói szerint os rapszódikus a nyitvatartás.A kiírás az ajtón a márciusig tartó téli időszakra vonatkozik (májust írunk!),az ott szereplő mobil számon senki nem elérhető.Mások is megerősítenek,a hölgy nem éppen rugalmas.Így össusségében nagy csalódás.Lehet egy kiállítás remek,ha így adják el. I came to Várpalota as close to the profession, specifically for the Museum of Chemistry. I would have been very curious about the exhibition. The opening hours on Google are sueint érkeuem. The museum is closed. According to the castle staff, the opening hours are rhapsodic. The notice on the door is for the winter period until March (we are writing in May!), the mobile number no one is available.Others also confirm, the lady is not exactly flexible.So the totality of great disappointment.It can be an exhibition is great if it is sold that way.
