I always like to walk in the park. It is a wonderful place even if the castle itself cannot be visited. Beautiful historic building complex. There is a study trail through the park that is signposted and tells the story of the castle.

Amadé – Bajzáth – Pappenheim Castle is located in Iszkaszentgyörgy, Fejér County. The name of Iszkaszentgyörgy appears on a circular seal in 1691 under the name "ISKA ZENT GIORG", which was already owned by the Amadé family. [1] The oldest part of the castle was built by Antal Amadé in 1735, and the eastern outbuilding and gate by Amadé Tádé in 1764. The central building may have been based on an 18th-century mansion. In 1800 the castle became the property of Bishop József Bajzáth of Veszprém, who started major constructions in 1820. It extended the two ends of the main wing sideways in a classicist style. Around 1840, the openings on the façade facing the park received a new stone frame, probably designed by master architect Mihály Langmasy. In 1870, through the marriage of the daughter of József Bajzáth's nephew, the castle became the property of the Counts of Pappenheim, and its significant reconstruction was linked to the name of Count Piegenheim Siegfried between 1904 and 1909, at the expense of his wife, Erzsébet Károlyi. The western outbuildings were demolished and replaced by a two-storey neo-baroque building with rich stone sculpture, ornate window and balcony gratings, stone heads above the upstairs windows, and a sculptural composition over the central chrysanthemum. The reconstruction was carried out according to the plans of Gabriel Seidl, a professor of architecture in Munich.
