Építtetője Jánosi Engel Adolf (1820-1903), akinek a nevéhez komlói szénbányászat elindítása, a város vasútvonalának építtetése mellett, a pécsi Zsinagóga, a Balokány-liget megteremtése és elemi iskola működtetése is köthető.
Built in 1900, it served as a nursing home for a very long time. Its builder is Adolf Jánosi Engel (1820-1903), whose name includes the commencement of Komló coal mining, the construction of the city's railway line, the establishment of the Pécs Synagogue, the Balokány grove and the operation of an elementary school.

K.b. éve jártam ott.Egy fűkaszáló bácsi állítása szerint eladták az épületet.
Those who are fond of old abandoned buildings are bound to do so. It is easy to reach on a stony road, through the forest. Its outer condition is tolerable, but within it is the mixing of the abandoned renovation works and the inheritance of a former children's home, to say the least. K. B. I've been there for a year. According to a lawnmower, they sold the building.
