Built in the 14th century in Gothic style. Its eastern tower was built by Lukács Horváth in 1493. Between 1745-59 it was expanded in Baroque style and a new tower was added. Between 1825-28 it was rebuilt, expanded with a cross ship and a new shrine was made. Its towers are 34 meters high. It is the second largest church in the Diocese of Eger after the Eger Basilica.

I love this temple, my grandmother was married to my grandmother for many years. Many times I came to the temple and I liked to be here, admired the beautiful frescoes and wonderful statues. My mother was born here and when I'm here I feel my mom and my mom are with me. I recommend it to anyone who loves beauty.

The XV. century Gothic-style church was converted into a baroque style between 1745 and 1759, and when it was enlarged in the 1820s it received classicist notes. Its equipment is classic. The churches dedicated to the two-tiered Church of Honor are just the sides of the towers that remain from the original church, and the church walls were cut off. The Gothic lower part of the left tower, according to the inscription of the stone plate of the support pillar, dates from 1493 and the upper part and the other tower were built in baroque style by Sebestyén Braun in 1746. The one-nave, three shop-style churches were built between 1825 and 1828 by architect Rába Károly Rába and architect Ferenc Homályossy, a carpenter cruiser in Szolnok. The ceiling fresco of the vault of the sanctuary was painted by Pál Vágó, and several altar paintings by Than Mór. The tabernacle on the main altar is the local locksmith's work by József Borbély. After the opening of 1828, the pulpit was provisionally from the old church and was made only in 1836. The organ was made by József Angster, Pécs Master in 1893. The strong stone fence around the church was built between 1759 and 1771, in front and at the rear there is a beautiful ornate rococo iron gate, the statues of St. Nicholas and Saint Vendel on its front columns. We were preparing for a wedding set when we were there, the church's interior renovation began, the shrine was restored, and wall-paintings were saved from destruction.

This church is surprisingly large and beautiful. We looked inside and out.

Nice condition inside and out. A special plus is that they finally have a church that is not kept closed. Doors were open and we could see. We didn't regret stopping here.

Unfortunately, we didn't have time to go in, and we didn't even catch the best weather when we finally stopped to try to take pictures, but the point is that I was finally able to "walk around" up close. Very nice and special building with two towers. I can only confirm previous posts: it is not closed during the day!
