The statue of András Jelky, a symbol of Baja, was created jointly by Ferenc Medgyessy and Ferenc Miskolczy (the Globe). András Jelky (Baja, April 20, 1738 - Buda, December 6, 1783) tailor, adventurer, explorer. His character became popular through fictional adaptations of his life. At the age of 45, he died of pneumonia.
