A renovation would make a difference to the theater.

Old socreal building, steps make the access impossible for people with wheelchair. The studio theater is not recommended despite an excellent Shirley Valentine performance. Badly organized queuing system forcing you for a 45 minutes wait without chairs. Free seating but 24 of the best places are already reserved for a last minute arriving group. Our waiting in the echoing entry hall was noisy and caused nuisance in the great theatre hall. The Hungarian translation containing a lot of unnecessary cursing. Outrageous organization miss!

Great, modern and funny plays with the performance of very talented actors and actresses. The staff is very helpful and respectful. However the seats have quite small leg space, which is a challange especially for taller people.

The 'Studio' is a pretty place. Perfect for small plays with such a distinguished atmosphere where the audience sits around the actors resembling the ancient greek theatre.

The theatre is a drab, grey, Soviet era concrete block with no real redeeming features on the outside apart from a 3d pictures mural on one of the side walls outside. Pleasant inside but definitely not an exciting building to visit unless you specifically are interested in this style of construction. There are cloakrooms on the ground and first floors as well as 2 cafes downstairs and a larger one on the first floor next to the cloakroom. There is very little street parking nearby, but the M3 metro, trams and buses are just outside the theatre and readily accessible. Like most older buildings in Hungary they really don't cater for people with disabilities with no lifts or ramps and the men's toilets for instance are on the top floor via steps.
