Az 1900-as évek elején megnyitott Kakukk Vendéglő már jóval a rendszerváltás előtt is virágkorát élte. Hangulatos, igazi békebeli gebines vendéglőként szolgált az újpesti kertváros lakóinak nagy örömére. Kerthelyisége a meleg nyári hónapokban rendkívül népszerű volt a környékbeliek körében. A 90-es években a melegkonyha jó pár évig nem üzemelt, inkább presszó-söröző jelleggel működött, míg az ezredforduló környékén ismét fantáziát látott valaki a hely felélesztésében, és visszaállította kisvendéglői múltját. A mostani tulajdonosok is arra törekszenek, hogy családi vállalkozásként a méltán közkedvelt Vendéglő továbbra is hű maradhasson több, mint száz éves hagyományaihoz és vendéglátó múltjához.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is placed between residential houses which was fun to look at. The place itself was clean and the waiter was friendly and spoke good English. Our meals (I had a Cesar salad) were tasty and for a very decent price. I would come again without hesitation.

Edible food, acceptable prices , good service . Recommended for families, or just go down with your partner if you don't wanna cook on the weekend. Defo not for business meeting or first date !
