Best Restaurant in Hungary

S	Sándor Dóbé on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is how the world should be. Going to Kami feels like entering a parallel universe where things are just right. Where eating at a simple, honest "checkered tablecloth" restaurant does not necessarily mean the usual underwhelming schnitzel or incompetently made fake-Italian fare. Here the atmosphere is relaxed, honest, unpretentious, which is a relief compared to the posh wannabe-fancy restaurants all over Budapest. And most importantly, you get michelin-grade meals cooked to perfection by the friendly and dedicated chef and owner Kálmán Fülepi, who really cares for this little restaurant which is the main achievement of his career (so far). For some explosion of flavors and a meat that melts in your mouth, try the gipsy stake (cigánypecsenye). Really, it's worth coming here just for the fries. Wonderful place.

Very nice selection of wines, both local and Italian. Service is very nice, and atmosphere is perfect. Bonus - it is just couple of minutes by car (taxi) from the aquaworld resort, so if you are staying there with kids, but are up for a more refined culinary experience - a perfect choice.
