I got an ear that the Karcsi pub was still open in May this year, no more. He lived for 35 years. I rushed there about a moment, mobilizing local forces to finally see what was at the end of the driveway, where there was no insight from the street front, and a walk-in just for the naked eye, because the whole thing was so unlikely. In front of the back pub building there is a covered terrace, a ping pong table on the shore, many cauldrons, gas cylinders, preparation, as if the regulars specialized in drinking pigs while drinking, playing cards and talking. Inside is a spacious space with beautiful old floor stone, where the X marks the center of the pattern. Dreher was no longer on tap, so we went from beers to bottles, accompanied by whiskey and unicum, the prices were very good. The room is air conditioned, in one corner there is an oven, next to it a pair of trays of eggs and a spring-forest-pointed wall poster, in the other corner darts, in the third there is a music machine, in the fourth there is a desk with a tired owner. For us, pub tourists, this place is just a huge missed opportunity, while for others it is a happier part of their lives. A community. Which is coming to an end.
