A kastélyt 197-98 körül építették, historizáló, klasszicista stílusban. A teljes kastély mai formájy a 20.szádaban készült el.
Az államosítást követően iskolát hoztak létre a kastélyban,, ma is iskola, művelődési ház és könyvtár üzemel a kastélyban.
From 1722 Árpádhalom became the estate of Count Károlyi's family.
The castle was built around 197-98 in a historicist, neoclassical style. The complete design of the castle was completed in the 20th century.
Following the nationalization, a school was established in the castle, and today there is a school, community center and library in the castle.
