BIEDERMANN-KASTÉLY A kastély, mint az uradalom központja, alapításától kezdve a község főutcájának - jelenleg Mátyás király utca - kezdő, uralkodó épülete volt, amelyet csak kiemelt a környékét övező park és uradalmi épületek koszorúja. A HistoriaDomus - plébánia története - egykori adatai szerint a töröktől való felszabadulás utáni - XVIII. sz. eleje - első mozsgói birtokos Sárközy János volt. Feljegyzések szerint nagy kártyás lévén, 60.000.- Ft. tartozása fejében 1750-ben Mozsgót kénytelen volt átadni a bécsi udvarnál nagy kegyben lévő Batthyány Károly grófnak. Az 1848-as szabadságharc elbukása után a mozsgói uradalom akkori résztulajdonosa Batthyány Kázmér is fej- és jószágvesztésre ítéltetett. Angliában élő testvére Batthyány Gusztáv, mint résztulajdonos a mozsgói birtokot - tekintettel a bécsi Biedermann bankár családnál lévő nagy összegű kölcsönökre - eladásra ajánlotta fel. 1850-ben a mozsgói kastélyban Biedermann Simon volt az úr. A nagy vagyonú, jeles gazdálkodói érzékű új tulajdonos - a birtokból hamarosan mintagazdaságot teremtett. Fia, Biedermann Ottó - akkor már pápai lovag - feleségül véve a horvátországi daruvári Tüköry - vagyon egyik örökösét, a régi urasági kúriára is kimondta a lebontást. Az első Biedermann kastély 1896-ban épülhetett Lechner Ödön tervei alapján. 1917-ben tűzvészben a kastély leégett, majd a lechneri tervek alapján teljes egészében helyreállították. A helyreállítás azonban csak részleges volt, amennyiben a belsőnek mintegy egyharmadát nem készítették el. 1945 után községi művelődési intézményként, kollégiumként működött, 1950-től traktorvezető-képzőként működött. 1960-tól szociális otthonként működik. Parkja, amely a XVIII. századi Batthyány-féle első rendezés szerint ősfáival, természetes területi domborzati kialakításával, a parkon átfolyó SOVICZA-patak megduzzasztásával készített dísztavával a Biedermann-családnak díszparkjaként került kialakításra. A kastély 1896-ban történt megépítése új park kialakítását tette szükségessé. A parknak kedves dísze - még mai hiányos állapotában is, - a már említett SOVICZA-patak által alkotott Dísz-tó. A park újjáépítésekor a tervező a tó közepére hangulatos szigetet épített, nyugati oldalán szépen ívelt Japán híddal A tó oldalait az omlástól való védelem céljából kitéglázták. The construction of the manor in 1896 required a new park. The decorative decoration of the park - still in its present state of incompleteness - is the lake of Dísz formed by the already mentioned SOVICZA stream. When the park was rebuilt, the designer built a cozy island in the middle of the lake, with a well-curved bridge on the west side of the Japanese bridge. The sides of the lake were packed to protect the hide. The eastern side of the lake was transformed with a part of the palace towards the castle by decorative staircases. (Zselici Sansouc).
