★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kerpel-Fronius Ödön (Versec, 1906. január 14. – Nyugat-Berlin, 1984. április 22.) Kossuth-díjas orvos, gyermekgyógyász, fiziológus, a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia rendes tagja. A 20. századi magyarországi gyermekgyógyászat kiemelkedő jelentőségű, világszerte elismert alakja volt. Klinikai kutatásai során a gyermeki szervezet folyadékháztartásában fellépő élettani zavarok patológiai vizsgálatával hozzájárult a csecsemőkori atrófia (sorvadás) megelőzéséhez és gyógyításához. Három évtizeden keresztül, 1946 és 1976 között volt a Pécsi Orvostudományi Egyetemi, majd a Semmelweis Orvostudományi Egyetemi gyermekklinikák és gyermekgyógyászati tanszékek vezetője.
Nevének gyakori, publikációiban is megjelenő írásváltozata Kerpel-Frónius Ödön.
 Ödön Kerpel-Fronius (Versec, January 14, 1906 - West Berlin, April 22, 1984) Kossuth Prize-winning physician, pediatrician, physiologist, full member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. It was a world-renowned figure of 20th century Hungarian pediatrics of outstanding significance. In her clinical research, she contributed to the prevention and treatment of infantile atrophy (atrophy) by pathological examination of physiological disorders in the fluid balance of the pediatric body. For three decades, between 1946 and 1976, he was the head of the pediatric clinics and pediatric departments of the Medical University of Pécs and then of the Semmelweis Medical University.
A common variation of his name, which also appears in his publications, is Ödön Kerpel-Frónius.
