★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clasic but fresh hungarian kitchen attracting local and international crowd.
It is pleasant surprice after uphill Zalakaros walk located on 2 recomended routes(green and yellow) so it stays busy when others are closed. Meats are broiling on 2 stoves at the entrance so visitors are quicly changing minds from refreshments to full course meals. Credit cards are accepted which makes this place close but not yet perfect. English is rudimentary but German conversation is fluent like mine A2

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very loud live music, for us quite disturbing while trying to have dinner.
The gyros plate seemed like boiled meat and not what we expected, strange taste to the meat, not gyros in our opinion.
The schnitzel was dry and tasteless.
The Cordon Bleu was ok.
Quite expensive food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place. Meat eaters should love it. Baked ribs, pork knee, duck all was pretty tasty. Service was excellent. Not much English spoken so we appreciated Menu available in Czech, and waiters speaking mix of Slavic languages - we could easily communicate. Same place, there is small shop with souvenirs, selection of local wine & spirits

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family came to eat abot half an hour before closing time. In almost no time we got our meal and it was delicious. At the end we ordered the plum cake which is considered the Zala country typical sweet dish - so Zala scored another point.
Well, the white dry wine was extraordinary good and therefore we ordered somewhat too much glasses ... We were allowed to sleep in our camper at the tower and the night was peaceful.
At the time of our breakfast the owner friendly offered us coffee ...
We will be back, for sure.
