Érdemes itt fotóznod, a szobor is nagyon szép! 2010. május 21-én Dr. Botka László polgármester avatták. IV. Béla 1:1 léptékű lovasszobrát Tóth Béla a csongrádi szobrászművész, és fia, Dávid készítette. Talapzatával együtt a mű összesen 7 méter 80 centiméter magas. Az uralkodó szobra a Kárász utca felé tekint. A talapzat terveit a szobrász öccse, Tóth Tamás készítette el. A hozzá tartozó kertészeti terv pedig a csongrádi Török Péter munkája. Családi összefogással az ismertetések alapján tudjuk, hogy mintegy négy és fél hónap alatt született meg ez a monumentális alkotás. Amint a fotón is látszik, a talapzat egy 3,3 méter magas rézsűs dombra épült. Az elhelyezéssel a szegedi várat igyekeztek idézni. IV. Béla lovasszobrának felállításával Szeged városa a városépítő király koronázásának és trónra kerülésének 775. évfordulójára emlékezett.
