Sajnos a hétvégén betévedtünk a Kis-Duna vendéglőbe. 2. Ezután 45 percet vártunk mire kihozták a levest. 3. 6.

On Sunday afternoon, a bored, grumpy waiter picked up the order. Palóc goulash soup, gypsy steak and mushroom - cheese Fried knuckle. My soup arrived half an hour later, even though there was barely a busy table. I stood for him to eat and then a few minutes later appeared next to me in the waiter holding the two plates to bring the main course. The soup was hot, so I couldn't eat faster, so I put it down next to me, it cooled down nicely, thanks! Gypsy steak is chewy. The fried knuckle-mushroom main course was so under-criticized that we sent it back with the waiter. We got a boiled lump of fat next to a minimal meat and the mushroom was black on what it looked like. Waiter took it, we would have expected him to signal something back, maybe ask him what he could correct, but he just stammered that the owner did it. We went to pay it in, then we heard the owner mutter to the waiter, pack it up and pay it off with him! We told him we didn't have to eat what he cooked if he had a taste for it, and even our guest told him what he needed: I don't have to, I have money ??? Catastrophic, the lowest of caterers!

5 tables when arrived, none had food, all complaining. We were standing beside an uncleaned table waiting for someone to ask if we could sit down. 6-month-old in Dad's arms. Waitress (supposedly owner at once) walked by us twice without looking at us so I dared to hault her and ask if we could sit there. She said yes but dirty plates are still there.. Oh, I was wondering what did she try to say after all? Ok. We sat. I asked for a baby chair. She said if I go inside, and take the one for myself from somewhere near the bar, I can sure use it. Dear god.. Before she ran away without asking if we wish to drink something because it was about 30+ I managed to get her note down our drink orders. This was the start. Behind us a table complaining for having spent an hour without getting food or drink. Now shortly about food. Waited 45 minutes for the soup which is always pre cooked in such restaurants so nothing else they need to do is pop it in the microwave and there you go, bon appetite in 10 mins tops after ordering. 45 mins, Baby about to lose it, chances lower for a relaxed lunch. Managed to finish the soup half time it was so obviously this instant soup from a plastic bag that I felt ashamed for them. Hubby's goulash was the most disgusting orange coloured floury mud I have ever seen. Nothing to do with a goulash. Soup gone. No question asked about the reason why half was left. Duck came. Again. Two tons of artificial flavouring on a duck leg size of a squirrel's. Cabbage straight from the can. Potato ok. 2 hours of nightmare altogether. 2 hours for a lunch when 6 tables remained all way through because the 2 new arrivals were turned back by mother-and-son looking waiting stuff saying they are too busy. All food people around us received were obviously ready food bought in plastic bags, deepfried from the freezer straigh. Bill included price for the cabbage which in this country is a must to come with the duck leg. So they have dishes with NO sides whatsoever. But ok. This could be normal, however, when I asked the waitress whether duck comes with cabbage or not, she said yes. And the reason why I asked is that I could not find it on the menu. However, bill contained a misterious amount which was the cabbage. I asked the wee waiter boy who started to be embarrassed and rude and told lies. Big ma was called who dug up a different menu from somewhere and proudly pointed at the cabbage and its price on it. That menu looked different from the one we had on our table. I told them I was never coming back. It is a shame. Another example to Hungarian greediness. All want to get rich in 2 days and they think customers are complete idiots. What a shame this place is!!

We liked it first, but then the portions became small for the price we were paying.

The food was OK, but my bean soup with ham was average at best. The liver dumpling soup was fine. Service was fast an good, we were the only ones in the whole restaurant though.
