B	Bálint on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is nice, restrooms are clean, waiters react quickly & professionally enough. We ordered coffee & ice cream sundae. Coffee was fine, the latter was a complete disaster. We were served the most low-end generic supermarket boxed ice cream, horrifying consistency, taste. It was a shame. For this price (1300 HUF, ~4.5 EUR), it could have been decent. Since the restaurant looked fine enough in general I was bold enough to order what I did, unfortunately I remained truly disappointed. UPDATE: The reason this upsets me is twofold. The vicinity of this place got me hopeful, we visited a few places where was known, what hospitality is. This reminded me that we're in fact still in Hungary. Secondly, since for this money, I could had at least four scoops of proper Italian styled ice cream in the capital. Insult to injoury, the service fee was automatically added to the bill. Now I usually pay this as well without being forced to and better yet in cash to the waiter so he can keep it. This way it probably remains by the management.

It does have a good reputation, but it is not worth the wait, not worth the climb, their food is bland, dry, and plated without any imagination. I wouldn't call it overpriced (it's right about what you would expect in a touristy area), but they certainly under-deliver in terms of food. We waited 45 minutes for a glass of wine, wanted to catch our server who ignored us several times, then explained to us that "mistakes do happen" - that did not sound like an apology, and nothing was thrown in to make up for the mistake, either, were just charged full price for everything like nothing happened. You can only see the view if you are very lucky, and again, just boring, disappointing food. You can do better virtually anywhere in the area, even without climbing all the way up the hill.
G	George Sörös on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Hollywood of Badacsony? A huge advertising sign dominating (ruining) the landscape on the wall of the building: Kisfaludi House. In addition to the damage done to the landscape, it is dwarfed by the fact that the staff in the kitchen loudly discusses the fairly small number of guests at the time of the epidemic ("God blessed us again with two vegans"). Of course, neither a vegan nor a vegetarian option. Next to the frosty potatoes, a frosty cheese would have fit. Kind German-speaking waiter, but the french fries and rice were so depressing that we didn't tip. The panoramic view through the foil of the plastic tent is also great. Drink wine.
G	Grace Lam on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ indeed a very nice view, but the food was not fresh, not warm. The colour of the pork was showing that its made long ago. All of the food is not warm. When I tell the waiter about it, he just ignored me. Maybe its because its after the peak season and the chef is on holiday.
V	Vizaknai Katinka on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tasty food, friendly and professional staff. Highly recommended. Amazing view of the Balaton. Keep in mind that is on the hill so some sport will be required if you go by walk.
P	Péter Király on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ f you visit on foot or in our case, by bike, you arrive sweating to this restaurant. However, it is well worth the struggle. The view is excellent from the terrace. Service is also exceptional, matches the price point. Only the food is, well... nothing to cry home about. We had the pork chops in "lángos" and pikeperch in pickled grape leaves. I have long had such overcooked, tough pork, it was a disaster. The pikeperch on the other side, was great. Not as great as its price, but tasteful. The portions were too small. Still, we had a great time. If you look at only the food, it is well overpriced, if you look at the whole picture, the price may be justified!
L	László Juhász on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sorry to say this place is rather ok than great, when it has the potential to be magnificent. The view is astonishing and it makes you thankful that someone built this place on this very location. With the great wine selection served here, there is just no way to have a bad time. Except if you have bad luck with the kitchen... Have to admit we came about 2 hours before closure but the food we got was cold and probably prepared well before we even ordered it. Looking at other comments this seems to be a trend here and the kitchen needs some development if this great establishment wants to be here in the next 10-15 years as well.
B	Barbara Horváth on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is definitely the place I would recommend to try. The view from the terrace is amazing, the staff is courteous and kind. I really cannot wait to have a lavish and delicious dinner there again. Not to mention the wide selection of Badacsony wines and the cucumber lemonade! Absolutely 5 stars!
