No added yeasts are used to make these breads, only the yeasts occurring naturally in the air, which are used to make the sourdough starter. The result is a beautifully textured loaf, with a medium firm interior and a deliciously chewy crust. All you need is some butter and perhaps a small salad and you'll be in heaven. I lived near Berkeley, California for more than 30 years, where I was able to get locally made "kézműves" sourdough breads, some of the best in the world, and the sourdough bread from Kiskenyér is just as good.
