Absolutely beautifully cooked food. The place is authentic and serves traditional Hungarian dishes which are incredibly tasty. Service is pristine and the waiter was extremely polite and welcoming. Would definitely come back here ?

I only ordered a fisherman's soup there. It was okay, sour and spicy. Perhaps just not my cup of tea. I noticed that all other customers were English speaking. It doesn't look like a restaurant that locals would dine at. A 12% service fee was included in the bill, which was disclosed in the menu. I don't advocate the practice of mandatory service fee, not to mention the percentage is over the typical 10%.

Check out their daily menu (napi menü), which is posted every day on Facebook. It's great value for the price, it's also very delicious. I went the first time and immediately thought this could be my favorite lunch place in Budapest.

Very cozy place, someone was playing piano when we went. The staff was also very nice. Unfortunately, not the best if you're a vegetarian, but the mushroom soup was really outstanding. I was less fond of the camembert since I found the sauce a bit too sweet but it was ok. Not so cheap but overall okay.

Lovely sidewalk patio along a pleasant side street. Friendly servers were quick to seat me and take my drink order. Draft beer. Then a delicious roasted duck breast over rosemary frites. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Budapest!

I would rate it rather below average. You can see €3 euro appetizer (not quite picked cabbage although named “pickled vegetables” on a menu) and next one is €9 (“Hungarian classic appetizer“). Totally not worth it! The other dishes was also not interesting. Also service from one of the waiters wasn’t good. He brought us menus in Hungarian though we spoke English when came in. When we asked for a candle he said no, but his colleague found one for us when we asked him instead (he also brought us English menus). So while one waiter was arrogant (he’s a little higher and of more heavier complexity), the other one (thinner one) was nice and helpful. Interior is homely, opposite of luxury but cozy. I’d love this place better if people serving us were nice. Though cuisines for those prices wouldn’t recommend.

This is a small hidden gem! The best goulash around. The beef was so tender. My main was chicken and it was perfectly cooked, juicy. Desert was amazing and everything is reasonably priced. I would definitely return!
