The trip from the city will take you on a lovely tram ride up into the hills of Buda, providing stunning views across the city and countryside. The restaurant is nice and quite affordable; offering excellent coffee and good food for reasonable prices. Beer selection won't disappoint, but also won't impress. Certainly worth your time for local flavour and a nice escape from the bustle of the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best hidden gems in Budapest, worth a ride with the Fogaskerekű! Pub-style, so you have to order and pay at the bar. Homemade food, reasonable prices! If you happen to plan lunch during the weekend, it is better to reserve a table.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely quiet location, good Hungarian hearty food, OK prices. You need to order and pay at the counter, but they bring the meals to your table. We expected to wait long but in 10-15 minutes we had our meals. Popular with families, hikers, bikers. We finished everything before taking photos, sorry :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every time we come to Budapest we stop here for lunch. It's a great place. We really enjoy the food and the nice atmosphere. Unfortunately it's a little slow, so if you have "hangry" kids bring a distraction but definitely stop by!

Hungary: you buy a beer and you can buy also a 3 cm pogacha for 170 ft.
I dont care how good is the food if people who work there make 110 ft on one single 3 cm big pogacha
