The annual event to commemorate the Battle of Isaszeg is surprisingly fun.

Beautiful place with a nice monument. Leaving Isaszeget towards Dány, you will be on the left, next to some buildings you can enter a dirt road, next to it is a beautifully renovated mill. I think the area should be better promoted, it stands out among the local attractions.

,, The Szentgyörgypuszta Stone Cross was erected in 1922 by the inhabitants of the wilderness instead of the destroyed head trees. Next to the stone cross stands the renewed Grassalkovich granary. On the early morning of April 6, 1849, he arrived at the major with General Damjanich's army. Fifty of the landlord’s foals joined the team as leaders as they knew the area well. It was here that the first battles were fought by reconnaissance patrols, many of whom fell. Fifty-two headstones were erected for the patriots, which by 1922 had rotted. It was at this time that a stone cross was transported from Kerepes in front of the Dányi church in a four-wheeled chariot. Legend has it that the stone cross was dug with brave furfang at the unmarked army tombs. This is how the Stone Cross still stands next to the Grassalkovich granary as a reminder of the Isaszeg War of Independence. On the eve of the Battle of Isaszeg every year, the Spring Campaign pays tribute to the glorious historical events of Isaszeg with a city commemoration. ''

On the morning of April 6, 1849, the soldiers of the hero of the War of Independence began their battles against the Austrian army on this roof for the occupation of Isaszeg. The fallen of the battle were buried in 52 tombstones. Instead of the destroyed headstones, this reminder was erected by the inhabitants of Szentgyörgypuszta in 1922.
