Great restaurant, I recommend it every time you look for Hungarian cuisine and great service!

Great service, delicious food

Being local time to time we give a try to this restaurant. The food this time was a little bit better than 2-3 years ago but far from being anything special. Service is not particularly nice and the place is highly overpriced.

Its in a good location, we only had a coffee there on the road. The staff were a bit overly eager to make sure everything is okay.

Two of four dishes that we ordered for the family were very poor quality and taste, one to an extent that we had to send it back. It was inedible... and we still had to pay half the price. Also, the place is noisy as well as dusty, because of the dirt road leading to it. To all fairness, the other two meals were nice but I still don't think a 50% hit rate is the target they should go for.

You get what you expect from a csárda. Our soups were outstanding, main dishes better than expected also. The place looks ok, maintained. Service is average/good. Price/value ratio is pretty good. Would go back for simple food again.

Good food, good service, good prices. However, hard to find, remote location and no road signs and low visibility. Management must learn some marketing skills.

Came here after a nice hike on a Sunday in the evening and luckily we got a table. You need to reserve on the weekends because it's super busy. Pro tip: ask if there's a table nicely and you might end up being seated. Don't be mad if they turn you down tough. They have a guest limit policy to ensure everyone is served within a reasonable time. I've been coming here since my grandfather brought me back when I was just a few years old. The food was great back then and it's great now too. They serve mainly wholesome traditional Hungarian dishes, but you'll find some fusion offerings on the menu as well from time to time. Go for the traditional and game dishes though, that's what they're the best at. This visit all we had was two big bowls of soup, and yeah, if you get the big portion it's a whole meal, or you might wanna to it off with some desert if you were on a very empty stomach. The Bean Goulash I had was tick and meaty as it should be. It was seasoned mildly spicy. The staff was very nice, and helpful. Don't go by the one star reviews here of people who were turned away. If you are nice they'll be nice too :)
