Worst accomodation ever. Our apartment was actually a little room where there was only room for a bed. Bathroom was terribile, you couldn't even sit on the WC because the wall was too near. Building was under demolition works, no one warned us in advance, workers started making loud noises early in the morning, it wasn't possible to sleep. You could hear everything from other guests rooms. Last but not least, terrible wifi: sometimes slow connection, other times wrong password error. An advice? Book another accomodation, this would really be the worst choiche you could make.

Presentation pictures are a lie. In my case, instead of the apartment, there was only one large room with 5 cheap beds, placed directly on the floor (like double mattresses), very small bathroom with terrible smell and defective sewer. To get into the room, you must use 3 access codes. The elevator did not work. And private parking does not exist. Daytime parking can only be paid from 3 to 3 hours. As a tourist you can not do that. Payment via SMS was not possible, so I was fined. The sure advantage is that the location is very well located

We arrived at the main door and the first problem appeared...there was no clear ring bell with a label of the place, thanks to a person that opened the door we could enter. The second problem...the smell was like vomit. After taking the elevador we found a locked like there was no one in that place. We waited by the door for about 35 minutes with no answer. We had to find another place to stay. They did not respond to any of our emails and complains. we are still waiting for the refund.... DONT BOOK THIS APPARTMENT FOR ANY REASON. There are a lot of better options insted of this sh**

Cheap, good location and excellent directions. Some DIY was done in the building while we were there and we were only notified the day before we arrived. This had the potential to cause much disruption but luckily it didn't

Very bad. I call them and say "i have a reservation" and they say it's full house, and after i said that i allready paid the reservation they close the Phone

Awful experience/Scam. I booked it through snaptravel.com few days ago. Today just afternoon on the day of check-in at the hotel, I received a message from snaptravel.com. They forwarded the message from the hosts that extra 27.5 euros cleaning, as well as 4% city tax have to be transferred or the will not give acces to the room. Just after my wowing that was not announced at the time of the booking, snaptravel.com replied that it is in the "About" tab for the Lichtenstein Apartments during booking process. I checked again and found it is covered with a banner "get 10% discount" (see screenshot). It seems as very raudulent activity. -5 ? for both accommodation facility and snaptravel.com for fooling customers

SCAM/ FRAUD /THEY STEAL Even one star is too much! I traveled a lot and booked cheaper hostels that were way better. This was my worst experience ever! 1. The address is different from the one in the website. Things started being suspicious. 2. When we called to get the right address, they refused to give us the correct address unless we pay extra money. 3. They don’t pick up. We had to wait THREE hours outside. We were already tired. 4. We got to the correct address. The building was aweful. The room was dirty 5. They were rude and disrespectful. 6. They wanted to steal my credit card info (VAT code). They almost took it from my hand. I kept saying no then put the card in my bag 7. They don’t speak English. 8. The room wasn’t equipped at all. There was only hand soap. 9. The room smells bad (it’s not cleaned/aired regularly) So if you want to enjoy your time in Budapest, DON’t book this one. You can find cheaper and better hotels with a respectful staff. EDIT (after your reply: stop misleading people and spreading lies. The woman working there and the woman on the phone wanted to take my credit card VAT number thinking that we are stupid. I lived in better locations and better cities with the same money. Instead of talking to your clients that way and telling them that they should expect mistreatment and disrespect because it’s cheap, you should work on yourself and apologize). Also don’t blame other websites or companies for your FRAUD. If you were honest, you would’ve mentioned it in your ad. I am a customer and I deserve respect no matter the price. I rented a hotel with the same price and a good location in Budapest but unfortunately it was full. That’s why yours is empty. Probably because people avoid you after reading the reviews. Also, If you just have a look at your clients reviews, the majority is negative and they all mentioned the stealing part. Most of them canceled. Yes you have been working in this hostel for 20 years but it seems like you’re still stuck in the 20 years ago. I have also read how you rudely replied to you clients’ comments and reviews. You can’t even be polite and offer decent answers and manners to people who trusted you. And please stop blaming the website, you were so rude on the phone. You refused to give the address. You kept us waiting. You hang up the phone on me. AND YOU WANTED TO STEAL MY CARD INFO. Anyways, I say it again, people please avoid this hostel.

We had a power outage, which somehow broke all power outlets which had something plugged in. Being on holiday we hade phones and cameras to charge, which was really annoying since we only had one working outlet left. Since there is no reception at the apartments itself contact was really annoying. Messages back and forth took a long time and the receptionist didn't understand our problem. After three days the outlets still weren't fixed and we got no more replies. The only reason it's not 1 star is because the apartment itself is fine, everything is there.
