Sajnos a névadó kútban már nincs víz.
In the Middle Ages, an important road led to this, connecting Pápa and Győr with Veszprém. Along the way there were watering places, the names of which are still preserved today (Lókút, Büdöskút). Its territory belonged to the Csesznik castle estate and from the 17th century it belonged to the Esterházy family.
