May be if it was the first chinese restaurant I would ever try... Then it could be okay. But compared with authentic chinese food or just other asian restaurants in Budapest... I really wanted to love it but everything was totally flavourless.

I am sorry to rate 1. But I feel responsible to share my feelings, at least for Asian people who knows about Asian food. I was really surprised when I see 4.4.....I don't know if you guys have ever had Chinese food. The only thing " Made in China " are probably the chopsticks. But food? Come on man. It doesn't mean it is Chinese food as long as you use soy sauce. The idea is good, but they need to cook real Chinese food.

This is an authentic Chinese food place in the downtown of the city. We all know that the traditional Chinese cuisines are designed to share so you either order and eat with your family/ a bunch of friends or you are stuck with a bigger portion and cannot try out various dishes. In 'Made in China' you can find tapas-size portions so to fill your belly you have to order cc 2-4 portions per person (depends on how hungry you are) with additional rice. I visited the place 2 weeks after opening, the staff was super nice, the atmosphere is pleasant. They can still improve on the rhythm of the service (what is extremely important with tapas-style food). We loved the octopus, and the bokchoy&shiitake combo, the oolong prawn was also interesting, the duck gizzard was the most unusual tasting dish, one must really learn to like the traditional seasoning (after the surprise we both agreed to like it). I would welcome more innards on the menu, but I know that Hungarians in general not really open to these ingredients. BTW our waiter mentioned that they will expand their menu in the future with soups and desserts as well.

They say they serve traditional Chinese food. I've never been to China or claim to have tried their traditional cuisine, but I can certainly say that this food really differs from what you get at the standards Chinese fast food restaurant. What's more, it's tasty and made out of quality ingredients. The speed of service could be better, but altogether the place is a good experience.

As a Chinese student in Budapest, I have to say this restaurant has the best cost value performance! Great job!
