★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A mohácsi Fogadalmi templom egy szép nagy templom (olyan, mint egy nagy dzsámi) a Széchenyi téren, amely egyben parkoló is.
Katolikus templomként tartják számon. Igazából monumentális, s belül is szép tágas és ünnepélyes. Rokonok esküvőjén és a nagyobbik lányom keresztelőjén is voltunk már itt.
Közel van hozzá a Városháza, a Kormányablak, az Ifjúsági Centrum, mögötte játszótér és park a gyerekeknek, valamint ki lehet innen sétálni a főutcára, a Busó-udvarba, vagy éppen a Duna-partra a főutcán át.
Úgy tudom, épp most tatarozzák a kupoláját és talán egy új harangot is fog kapni.
The Mohács Votive Church is a nice big church (like a big jam) on Széchenyi Square, which is also a parking lot.
It is considered a Catholic church. It is truly monumental, and inside it is beautifully spacious and solemn. We were here at the relatives' wedding and the baptism of my older daughter.
It is close to the City Hall, the Government Window, the Youth Center, a children's playground and park behind it, and you can walk to the main street, the Busó courtyard, or just across the Danube to the main street.
As far as I know, they are just renovating their dome and maybe getting a new bell.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Fogadalmi Templom alapkövét a mohácsi vész 400. évfordulóján rakták le. Ez a mohácsi csatban elhunyt katonáknak állít emléket. Az épület alapjaiban 3000 magyar településről hoztak földet, ezzel jelezve a nemzet összefogását. Csodálatos az akusztikája.
The foundation stone of the Votive Church was laid on the 400th anniversary of the Mohács disaster. This commemorates the soldiers who died in the battle of Mohács. Basically, land was brought from 3,000 Hungarian settlements, signaling the nation's unity. Its acoustics are amazing.
