Malom-hegyi kilátó

The outskirts, only 2.5 km from the center of Hőgyész, is located between the main road leading to Szekszárd and the Kalazno road. The owner of the area designated this plot of land for the purpose of dominating the triple function of the forest (economic, protective, public welfare): the latter serves to satisfy the interest in nature and the need for recreation. The following facilities have already been implemented as part of a long-term development concept: Green educational trail. Crossing the forest fence (twice), which protects a newly planted part of the forest, from the forest house, it heads in a steep catchment towards the ridge, where it turns north to a great lookout point. There he descends steeply to the side of the parallel valley, then returns to the starting point on the loess road formed in it. Red educational trail. It follows a common route with the return branch of the green educational trail, then climbs the Rontott-walnut forest part sloping towards the Kalazno highway to the side of Malom Hill in the Lindental Valley. The loop ends at the end of the loess path that starts at the Chicken Leg (creatively named). Lookout. At the highest point of the green study trail, the forestry staff built a three-storey, wooden-structured lookout tower, from which the view of the hills of Hőgyész is beautiful, mainly to the NW. Unfortunately, we see less and less because the trees next to it are grown!
