★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Egy nagyon stílusosan megépített vasútállomás.
Sajnos megszüntették a vasútvonalat ami átment Mátraderecskén. Remélhetőleg egyszer megszűnik a vasútleépítési láz és visszatérnek a régi elfeledett vasútvonalak. Egyébként jellemző hogy az elhagyatott és enyészetnek átadott vasútállomás a bezárt Mátraderecskei strand és gyógyfürdő mellett van, ami szintén az enyészeté lett. Ahogy mesélik Mátraderecskén annak idején lógtak a vonaton az utasok hogy eljöhessenek a Mátraderecskei strandra. No hát ez már a múlté. Van viszont helyette egy ronda téglagyár szinte a hajdani strandra építve, amit nem érdemes megnézni. Mondhatnánk, hogy munkát ad az embereknek. De azon is el lehet gondolkozni, hogy egy hosszútávú turisztikai fejlesztés nem adna-e ugyanennyi vagy több munkahelyet, és hosszútávon jobb megélhetést.
Ma is vannak Mátraderecskének kincsei, mint a Mofetta. De valami mintha hiányozna a hely vendéglátó szelleméből.

Unfortunately, the railway line that crossed Mátraderecske was canceled. Hopefully, once the railway downsizing fever will go away and the old forgotten railway lines will return. Incidentally, it is typical that the abandoned and handed over railway station is next to the closed Mátraderecske beach and spa, which also became mine. As they say in Mátraderecske, the passengers were hanging on the train at that time so that they could come to Mátraderecske beach. Well, that's a thing of the past. Instead, there is an ugly brick factory built almost on the former beach, which is not worth seeing. You could say it gives people a job. But one can also think about whether a long-term tourism development would not provide the same number or more jobs and a better livelihood in the long run.
Even today, Mátraderecske has treasures like Mofetta. But something seems to be missing from the hospitable spirit of the place.
