Az egyszerű, bal oldali harangtornyos andezit terméskőből rakott templom a galyatetői Nagyszállóval együtt, 1939-42 között épült, eredendően a szállóvendégek lelki szolgálatára. A színes, gótizáló keretű üvegablakok Sztehlo Lili munkái. A templom kultúrtörténeti jelentősége, hogy 1942-ben Kodály Zoltán itt komponálta egyik legszebb egyházi művét, a Csendes mise orgonaváltozatát.

The church became famous by the work of Zoltán Kodály. The cozy church is a pleasant destination for tourists visiting it.
The simple church on the left-handed bell tower andesite stone was built together with the Grand Hotel in Galyatető between 1939-42, originally for the spiritual service of the hotel guests. The glass windows of the colorful, gothic frame are the works of Sztehlo Lili. The cultural and historical significance of the church is that in 1942 Zoltán Kodály composed one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical works of the church, the organ version of the Silent Mass.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jellegzetes "távhàz" stílusú templom, majdnem a csúcs tetején. Gyönyörű a vidék: túrázáshoz, kirándulásokhoz kitűnő célállomás. ? Magával ragadó a hely hangulata, és egyben szomorú is, hisz szebb és mozgalmasabb időket is megélt már a vidék.

Szép hely a Mária túraútvonal mentén, előtte Kodály Zoltán emlékszobrával.
We only saw the church from the outside, we couldn't go in that day.
Nice place along the Mária hiking trail, in front of it with a memorial statue of Zoltán Kodály.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TLDR; Good idea implemented in a not so good way.
It's a very cozy place but despite being brand new it looks like it wasn't really planned with care. When or how the electric locks close was a mystery and they are annoyingly loud and slow. Writing rules and guidelines on the wall is a good idea unless they make no sense, like "turns off the lights after you leave" when the light switch is automatic.
I also discovered my favourite rule so far in a touristic center: "you're not allowed to bring your own food in the area of the center" - as explained by the receptionist or "you're not allowed to consume your own food" - as explained by the rulebook. Either way luckily they didn't seem to care.
