A védett képződmény tulajdonképpen egy forrásmészkőfal és a nevezetes Bivalyfej nevű fekete mésztufa képződmény. A környező dombokról lezúduló víz több irányból mély árkokon jut el a hasadékhoz, amelynek felső szakaszán van az esős időben vízesésként feltűnő mésztufa-fal. A nehezen megközelíthető kis szakadék falán több kisméretű vízszintes hasadék is húzódik, ezekből a csapadék függvényében folyik vagy csöpög a víz.
The stalactite limestone cleft is located in a small area on the TVT in the Lozsy Forest between Kaposgyarmat and Gálosfa. The Protected Formation is actually a source of limestone and a black limestone formation known as the Buffalo Head. The water flowing from the surrounding hills reaches the crevice in several directions through deep ditches, the upper part of which has a tufa wall that appears as a waterfall in rainy weather. There are several small horizontal crevices on the walls of the small gap, which is difficult to access, from which water flows or drips, depending on the precipitation.
