★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vác is a beautiful baroque town with a wonderful main square. There is confectionery on the square which further imporves visitors' experience. Sweets are really nice coffee is delicious. Local inhabitants claim that this place serves coffee which belongs to the top 10 in Hungary. Owner is an expert barista, when you ask coffee with caramel you get a strange look back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Breathtakingly delicious. All the awards are well deserved. It's reflected in the price, though, so this is not going to be a place you often come to.
The seating leaves some serious questions though. There is barely any space. If you come here, it's better to prepare for takeaway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WOW. A patisserie of excellence, traditional Hungarian/European baked goods with a twist, gourmet ingredients worked into fantastic harmony. A new experience of Dobos, Black Forest cake, mignon and macarons, a feast for the eyes too. Try the gelato. If you are the conservative type, chocolate, vanilla and raspberry are waiting for you. If you are open to something new however, don't hesitate. Green peas&coconut, Rose, Violet (yes, the flowers, do try them). Enjoy the quiet shade under the old trees in a quiet corner of the historic district. If you are indeed the "historic" type, Vácz dessert is your choice, commemorating the visit of Queen Maria Theresia, giving a taste of her own favorite things, chocolate, apricots, peaches and almonds.

The cakes look great and the taste is absolutely delicious!
High quality nice but small shop.
Disadvantage: only cash ?
