Az 1560-as évektől a reformátusoké, a templombelsőben a díszített külsőségek helyett a református egyház egyszerűsége következett. 1743-ban, hosszú, romos időszak után lett ismét a római katolikusoké. Az akkori zálogbirtokos azonnal nekilátott a felújításnek. 1771-ig az volt egyetlen kőtemplom Diósgyőrben. 1969-ben Takács István készített a falakra 4 nagyobb és 8 kisebb méretű freskót.
The exact details of the construction of the Catholic church "Name of the Virgin Mary" are not known, probably from the Árpádian period. It is already included in the papal tithe list of 1332. From the 1560s onwards, the Reformed church had the simplicity of the Reformed church instead of decorated exteriors. After a long, ruined period, it became the property of Roman Catholics again in 1743. The then pawnbroker immediately began the renovation, and it was the only stone church in Diósgyőr until 1771. In 1969, István Takács made 4 larger and 8 smaller frescoes on the walls.
