Kicsit zavaró a teremőr néni szigorú tekintete. Egyébként meglepően gazdag gyűjtemény. Kellemes program.

Lantos Ferenc kiállítását láttam, koncepció nélkül beszórva két tetembe más, nem Lantos művek közé.

A csillagok összképet mutatnak. Az alsó szint nekem elvont néhol ijesztő. A kiállítás elején csodás képek, jól világítva. Gyöngyszemek vannak köztük. Aki a magyar festészetet szereti (XIX XX század) ne hagyja ki.

Szép nagy kiállító terük van.

Magyarország második leggazdagabb gyűjteménye csodálatos tárlatokkal! Mindenkinek csak ajánlani tudom, hogy látogassa a múzeumot! A múzeumban dolgozók kedvesek és elhivatottak, akik szenvedélyesen szeretik a művészetet.

Unique, large collection of 20th century Hungarian art

Interesting collection, but please, please let us breath! As soon as I paid for the ticket at the entrance, a lady was assigned the task to follow me through the whole museum. She thoroughly watched every single one of my moves from the first to the last moment, an oppressive behavior that clearly made the experience difficult to enjoy. It even reached comical proportion at times such as when the lady stood so close to me that I couldn't even read the paintings' caption. In decades of museum visits across the world, I've had my faire share of zealous museum keepers (especially in former Socialist Republics), but the Pécs Modern Gallery clearly emerges as the most oppressive museum experience in my life. As noted by someone else : the policy appears to target foreigners. Indeed, the Hungarians visiting the museum at the same time me were left to wander entirely unsupervised. She followed me, only me. I hated the experience. Which, really, is a shame, since the collection is genuinely interesting! I was particularly impressed by the collection of local tüzzománc from the 70's. If you're a foreigner planning to visit the museum, please go but expect to be treated like a professional thief.
