Very nice place in nature. The interior is beautiful too, not mentioning the food. Excellent place.

An absolutely superb and unique place high in the mountains, with a brilliant view to the ski park Mátraszentistván. Rooms, hosting and everything is utmost perfect.

Excellent. Great location with an amazing view to the skiing slopes running on the opposite side of the village. Food, wine, rooms are all great, and absolutely worth the price. Much recommended to go and check out.

I really enjoyed time here. Nice and cozy atmosphere. Hiking options are near. Breakfast and dinner is included. And they have sauna which is so cool after the hiking. They have nice wine selection. For the wines you can help yourself and after it you add it to your account (via a tablet in the guesthouse) real quest house feeling. I recommend this place if you would like to have nice accommodation and near hiking options.

To get out the maximum I suggest you to buy the full package. The breakfast and the dinner menu is really-really beyond expectaion. Really brilliant. If you have a room with balcony, that is also amazing, you can enjoy the panorama and have breakfast on the balcony of the room. ?The sauna and the tub are also perfect! ? The sortiment of the "bar" is super well selected, premium drinks and snacks, many of them are home made. ? A few things could be improved. First of all the bed is not the best, and an extra big mirror into the rooms. Also on the TV we had no chanells at all but by this we could enjoy the view and talk more, so at the end of the day we didn't miss it really.

Beautiful location with not so great staff. I would definitely not recommend this place! Beautiful scenery, leaky bathroom, scratched paint, not planned-out room and awful service is what you should expect when you come to Montem. Most places where you can relax are community spaces, so don't expect a lot of privacy. The whole experience in Montem just left me with the feeling that they are there to take my money. The experience was disappointing, especially considering the price. I stayed here for 2 night on a weekend with my partner and from the very beginning things were quite fishy. You can order dinner ahead for really high prices (you can find a Michelin starred restaurant for this money in the capital), but if you don't make it, you lost your money AND you will stay hungry. Obviously there are not many local options, you either travel to get food or pay the price. To be fair, they were accommodating when it comes to check-in times as we could only arrive late in the evening, they just left our keys and we could pick it up when we got there. The included breakfast was very sad, my partner ordered "French Breakfast" which included a tiny jar of lemon sauce and 4 mini croissants, leave her hungry. When I dare to ask what are they planning for the dinner after seeing it last night's menu on a board, I have been scolded that I should have ordered ahead. I just let it go... (It wasn't just us however, the next morning a fellow guest got told off by the server that this is what she ordered when she politely asked that she ordered something different) However, even on hotter days the place stays cool due to it's location in the mountains, so it's nice and cool if you want to stay in the guesthouse or want to go for a hike. I would without a doubt would choose a different place if I were you.

As its name suggests, it is not a classic hotel, but rather a guest house. But at that it excels, I'd rather call it a luxury guest house (adults only) that is better than many hotels in the world. Very friendly and attentive staff, delicious food, clean and stylish rooms with a fantastic view. Because of this it is a bit on the pricy side, however, overall it is worth the cost. If I could make a suggestion: I'd make coffee and tea complimentary throughout the day (and not only at breakfast). One additional coffee or tea per person per day on an average (I do not think it would amount to more) would make the guests feel more at home, and the cost for the guest house would be negligible.
