Virtually all trains stop. It is therefore incomprehensible why the accessibility of the platforms was not made accessible. Of course, there is a gate through which the platforms would be accessible on the surface, but this is not intended for passengers, because in principle it is forbidden to cross the rails, which is also warned by signs. The heating in the waiting room is acceptable in winter, but in summer it is sultry, warm and the platforms require at least a 2-3 minute walk through the stairs, if there are several packages, then even more. In spite of the rolling suitcase, it must also be carried down and up the stairs in hand to the platforms accessible via the underpass.

Cultured pleasant train station, many trains stop here. Disadvantage is that the city center is a bit far.

It is one of the most important stations of MÁV line 1, Budapest-Győr-Hegyeshalom. The station and its surroundings are clean, tidy but not accessible. Passenger platforms can be approached via underpasses, passing through tracks is life-threatening and prohibited due to heavy, high-speed freight trains. There is a washbasin, in a separate building, the doors can be opened with a number code, which can be inquired from the ticket office or, in the event of a cash lock, from the traffic service provider. Its condition and cleanliness are relatively satisfactory. There is also a snack bar in the waiting room, and a small shop on the other side of the square opposite the building. The space is occupied by the bus station and the taxi rope. The price of the ticket is HUF 230 on local flights (changed at the driver), the taxi takes the passenger for HUF 1,000 all over the city. All passenger trains stop here. In regional traffic, the Győr-Hegyeshalom, Győr-Rajka, Győr-Bruck an der Leitha and Győr-Vienna routes are typical. Its long-distance traffic is almost entirely provided by international trains, with the exception of two accelerated passenger trains, which depart from Hegyeshalom to Budapest-Keleti railway station on working days. With all the long-haul flights you can get to Vienna, many trains go further: Salzburg, Innsbruck, Linz, Munich, Stuttgart, Zurich are also available from here. If the box office is closed, we can buy tickets from a ticket machine.

COVID has reduced the number of hikers, although the programs are always a reason to recharge. The passenger traffic is significant, many schoolchildren and workers also come to the schools and universities of Győr to study and work from here.

Nice building with well functioning ticket machines, kind staff. But there is a problem, the underpass and the platforms are not cleaned regularly. I would support installing cameras because there have been recent thefts and it would be better to see them :).
