We thought of a bold, we called the hotel on Friday to book a table for a Sunday birthday breakfast. We were informed by a phone call from a man that there was no need to book a table, there were not enough hotel guests to book. So we couldn't book. We went there this morning, looking at us like space creatures, wondering what the hell we wanted. There were five of us, the lady serving us drove us out to the terrace because there she could push two tables together, hacked a little, bothered to talk, because then she could have prepared a place ... we said we started with that, but they refused to book. We said that if we were disturbed we could go ... Then we just had breakfast, I don't have to say the taste of the song has been bitter ever since, despite the lady's frosty, almost condescending style and said in the end that they are waiting for us at other times and yes can also be booked, i can't believe this after all and i think i don't want any more here. I ate breakfast but I can’t appreciate it because they took our appetite with their style, it was a big disappointment. I'm really sorry.

We spent 1 night at the hotel and were very happy with everything. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very helpful and kind. The rooms are clean and sophisticated. At noon that day we had lunch at the hotel, we could choose from several dishes within the menu. The food was a’la carte quality and the strawberry cream soup with basil cream was phenomenal. We are happy to return again!

Dear Munkácsy Hotel! Thank you so much for crossing our calculations and ruining our anniversary! :) Notwithstanding our reservation for the pre-booked and confirmed suite, it was announced a few days before our departure, several hours later we can only occupy our room as it was handed out to a participant in an event. I don't think it's a very fair attitude… Staying 1 hour longer than the original price offered for compensation is, in my opinion, quite incorrect. The other room offered to us was not an acceptable compromise, we insisted on our original choice. If we have confirmed that the room has been booked, why is it being rented out to someone else, even if not for a full night? Why should we compromise on this? Nagykár… we have always been very satisfied with the offer of their restaurant and we have left with positive experiences during our last stay, but the current situation completely overshadows our previous experiences. So those who book accommodation here do not take the confirmation in cash.

I saw pictures of the pool and sauna on Bookingon, after which we booked the room. When we arrived, it was written on the front door that due to COVID, the pool has not been in operation since 2020. Why can other hotels operate it? Is something wrong? It would be worth deleting the pool pictures because it is so misleading. The receptionist said she was also informed by email (unfortunately I haven't received an email since) and that we could have canceled the booking afterwards. Yes, but we would have lost 50%. It advertises itself as a wellness hotel (it stands in its logo), but I don't know what makes it ... In the room, a card describes on which portals we can share our opinions. I prefer not to write any more opinions now.
