★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We’ve seen here a very well created exhibition from and about Andy Warhol. Not too small, not too big, simply perfect. In the other rooms there were some other collections from Hungarian contemporary artists, there were exhibitions and installations as well. The staff is really nice and helpful. Prices are really low.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This newly renovated museum is at the heart of downtown Békéscsaba. A must see! They have the Museum of Science part where you can learn about Békés County from the Stone Age. You can see archeological findings from people who lived in this area up till the modern ages.
And they have a room full with the works of the great Munkácsy, world famous painter genius who grew up in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Munkácsy was the BEST artist alive in his heyday. There are many of his originals displayed. The museum also includes exhibits that date back through Hungarian history that are impressive as well as informative. A wonderful experience!!
