★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1955-ben Neogrády László tanár vezetésével, a Megyeri úti általános iskola szakköreként kezdődött Újpest helytörténeti emlékeinek gyűjtése. A gyűjtemény 1969-re kinőtte a szakköri kereteket és a kerületi tanács kiállítóhelyet biztosított számára. A Művelődési Minisztériumtól 1977-ben kapott hivatalos működési engedélyt.
Jelenleg az 1999. augusztus 29-én, az Újpesti Városnapok keretében a Berda József u. 48-ban megnyílt állandó kiállítás mutatja be Újpest történetét az őskortól 1950-ig.
A gyűjtemény 2014. szeptember 2-án felvette alapítójának, Neogrády Lászlónak a nevét.
In 1955, under the leadership of László Neogrády, the collection of the local history memories of Újpest began as a specialty for the elementary school of Megyeri Street. The collection expanded to 1969 and the district council gave it an exhibition space. Authorized by the Ministry of Culture in 1977.
Currently, on 29 August 1999, in the framework of the City Days of Újpest, Berda József u. The permanent exhibition opened in 48 presents the history of Újpest from prehistoric times until 1950.
On 2 September 2014, the collection added the name of its founder, László Neogrády.
