Today's village is first mentioned in 1212 as Kaal. The name implies that after the conquest of the country, it could have been a place of accommodation for Kál. At the beginning of the 13th century a royal estate was mentioned, and in 1212 he also mentioned his priest named István. In 1234 there was a church dedicated to St. Peter. Then the settlement is taken out of the city of Sopron. In 1359, his church was mentioned again. In 1372, owned by the family of Niczky Ják. In 1421, he received the right to hold two national and weekly fairs in Sigismund of Luxembourg. The village was especially famous for its press meats, and it was named after it. In the 15th century, the families of Niczky, Lábatlani, Patyi, Unyani and Farkas were the major owners. It was often the scene of the Sopron county meetings. The Niczky family was the owner of the village until 1846, then Sándor Niczky sold his estate here to János Rupprecht, Sopron. The new owner soon established a sugar factory in the village, whose raw material was produced by its surrounding estates. Lajos Rupprecht became the owner of Soskoskál after the great owner of János Rupprecht Cheesecake. He was renamed the Rupprecht mansion in 1863. The porch, arcade, one-storey house became a two-storey castle with a tower, jumps, and some gothic remembrance. His romantic trainings are interesting and characteristic memories of his age. The pre-rebuilding testimony is the trolley undercarriage. Today, the stairway to the ground floor, which was originally in the building, was built in and inside the inn, in the inn. The history of the castle also includes the historical fact that IV. King Charles Károly and his Queen Queen Zita on October 21, 1921, their first stay in Hungary they spent their nights here in one of the rooms of this castle. In addition to the "royal room", this is a memorial plaque on the wall. We also saluted our last king on the village day of 2001, when we brought up the headboard that preserved the memory of the last Hungarian night of the royal couple. Vas County Psychiatric Patients Home In 1950, a social home was established at Rupprecht Castle. In 1958, he was transformed into a social home of "mind". In 1968, the building complex of the home grew with a new economic building, and the full renovation was completed next year. At present, a social home for caring for psychiatric patients is being maintained by the county council with 150 seats. Type of institution: residential institution for nursing and care of psychiatric patients, psychiatric patients with residential homes for rehabilitation, with mentally handicapped and disabled persons.

There is a psychiatric institution in the building, it is not possible to enter. From the outside, this would be a great refurbishment.
