"Az alkotás a Városháza előtti szépen ápolt téren található. Eredetileg Felszabadulási emlékmű volt amit 1962. november 7-én a Nagy Októberi Szocialista Forradalom 45. évfordulójának alkalmával avattak fel. A rendszerváltás után az ezekre utaló jegyeket eltávolították. A galambot tartó nő bronz alakját Ungvári Lajos szobrászművész készítette.
