The Tihany Abbey built the church between 1778 and 83 in late Baroque style. The pulpit and the side altar are in classicist style. The church is under monument protection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Remek kis templom, bár fotózni nehéz, mindenhonnan szép nagy fák veszik körbe, ami persze nem hátrány - ha valaki Balaton-kör során egy kis pihenőre és árnyékra vágyik.
It's a great little church, although it's hard to take photos, it's surrounded by nice big trees everywhere, which of course isn't a disadvantage - if someone wants a little rest and shade during the Balaton Circle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Örvényes egyik nevezetessége a katolikus Szent Imre-templom. A kis téren szerényen megbújó, késő barokk stílusban emelt templomot 1778-1783 között építtette a tihanyi apátság. A templom előtti Hősök parkján I. és II. vilagháborús emlékművek állnak.
One of the sights of the vortex is the Catholic Church of St. Imre. The church, built in a late Baroque style in a small square, was built by the abbey of Tihany between 1778-1783. In the Heroes' Park in front of the church I. and II. World War II memorials are available.
