A villát családja számára, az 1920-as évek végén építtette, az általa tervezett Szülészeti Klinikával szemben. 2010. szeptember 14-én a Kenézy-villában megnyílt a Debreceni Egyetem Professzori Klubja. Az Orvostörténeti Múzeumba a képek, műszerek, bútorok, dokumentumok, fényképek, könyvek ezrei magánadományokból kerültek. Gyula Kenézy has been an officer of Debrecen since 1885, the director of the Debrecen City Hospital since 1893, the midwife training center of 1896, and the chief physician and director of the children's shelter since 1903. From 1915 he was the organizer of the emerging medical faculty in Debrecen, and from 1916 he was a retired teacher of obstetrics and gynecology. In 1919-1920 he was rector of the university. He built the villa for his family in the late 1920s, opposite the Obstetrics Clinic he designed. On September 14, 2010, the Professors' Club of the University of Debrecen opened in the Kenézy Villa. Thousands of pictures, instruments, furniture, documents, photographs, and books were donated to the Museum of Medical History from private donations.
