I believe that even for those who are averse to nuclear energy, a visit to a power plant that supplies almost half of the country's energy supply can be a good afternoon. At the visitor center we can learn about the history of the city of Paks connected to the power plant and learn even more about nuclear energy. You must check in 2 weeks in advance for the completely free guided tour. You can choose from several types of tours. The 3-hour tour includes a walk to the visitor center as well as access to the plant’s operating area. It is forbidden to bring a telephone into the area of ​​the power plant, so photographs cannot be taken indoors. In the power plant we can admire the primary system from a height of 33 meters, as well as the control center a little further down, and finally the tour ends with a tour of the turbines of the secondary system. It’s great to see and experience live this colossus of buildings that provide a stable job for more than 5,000 people.
