Classic tourist trap. Really bad mass food like in military. If you have a little class, you don‘t go there.

It a fantastic restaurant

The Restaurant tried to rip us off, they tried to overcharge us in a completely unacceptable way. They tried to make us pay 3 times more than our real consumption, they brought us a manually blue pen written bill with just one total amount which was triple of the correct price. When I asked whether they were joking with this amount and requested a detailed invoice, they pretended that they brought wrong table's invoice. The only problem the 4 of us were the only a la carte guests and the reamining people in the restaurant were members of a tourist group with set menu, and without payment obligation by themselves. Ridicilous. Never go there!!! Also wine offer is poor and tasted wines were really low quality. Shame on Borkatakomba, there are so many good restaurants in Budapest - avoid this one for sure.

That was amazing! Best night in my entire life!! When we came there, there was a nice girl that was giving away some tasty bread for everyone while BEAUTIFUL music was played in the background by musicians. That was just the start. Inside the restaurant there was Hungarian goulash that I really loved and there was a funny band that was playing crazy music in the background. Suddenly, some dancers showed up and made it to be the best day of my life! Their dances were SUPER TALENTED and they are definitely something special you don't see every day. If you're in Budapest, you HAVE TO see it. If you won't, you'll really miss out. The dancers even chose my dad to dance with them and there were also funny chefs that were cooking something through fire and in the end they let people drink red wine from some weird thing. The whole thing was really special and just PERFECT. It made the whole trip be much more better. I'M 14 YEARS OLD AND I NEVER HAD SO MUCH FUN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.

Sausages, salamis and wines are super.Music is also good. Dance show is little bit dissappointing.

Nice place for wine-lovers. Cuisine is also very good. Professional staff helps to have a nice experience about wine. Approx. at 8 pm groups enjoy the "folklore evening" show, with dance and live Hungarian Gipsy music.

Traditional Hungarian food. Live lovely music. Food is so good especially Goulash (soup). All the staff is so friendly. I would recommend this place. Xxx We have 2 starter, 1 main to share, 2 beer, 1/2 bottle of red wine and all cost 6,500FUT (£19) for 2.

Great place to experience traditional Hungarian Folklore Dinner. Performance by the staff were great and entertaining. Food was rather good. Gave a welcome snack and liquor. Meal consists of the traditional soup (with chicken, carrots and potatoes and spiced with paprika), well cooked tender chicken thigh in homemade sauce and dessert was cake served in a bowl with whipped cream. Their tea was rather nice with a fruity taste.
