Painfully painfully quiet and peaceful place. This is one of the most important heritage in modern history.

This is a good historical place, here we could understand a little, how terrible the communist regime was.

We had a fabulous visit which included a talk by one of the organizers of the picnic. A lovely and solemn spot where freedom broke through and the world learned about the opening of the Iron curtain.

Looks like a beautiful place, but the road was closed this day.

Remembrace place, for august 1989, when hungarians let east germans to go free without passport in Austria

Quite a site, I'm glad to see that this momentous piece of history is immortalized here at the former Iron Curtain border between Austria and Hungary. There are several monuments, with captions in AU/HU/EN. Many pinic tables and places to sit. Really quite moving. Recommend visiting if in the area.
