★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Papitos has the best Mexican food in Budapest! We tried it for the first time on a trip a couple of years ago (they used to be at a different location), and this is a more permanent spot on a lovely central street with some outdoor seating. I highly recommend their burritos and tacos, but everything is good! The service is excellent as well. We will be back again for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately the place did not live up to the hype it got from some of my colleagues. I tried the pork burrito and most of the filling was just rice. Maybe the ingredients were just added unevenly, but it was very hard to finish the whole thing. Also the wrap itself had some kind of herb (maybe coriander) that had a very strong taste that was so dominant, that it was hard to enjoy my meal. Maybe I was just unlucky, but I think I'll stick with other Mexican food options in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been to this place so many times. One of the most tasty street food in Budapest. If you like street food you should definitely try this place. You can have tacos for snacks with just 650-750 HUF or you can have a burritos quesadilla for a meal for bigger price. I don't know what is mexican food like but when I eat there I feel like I am in Mexico. Haha. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the pork tacos which were gesturing towards what Mexican ✨carnitas✨ are supposed to be. The flavor was there, but minus the fatty bits. Leaner meat, but it wasn't dry. Legend has it, an old Mexican abuelita makes their sauce for them. I was pleasantly surprised by the authenticity: down to the Jarritos and single ply napkins. All in all, I reckon it's the numero uno place to get your tacos in Budapest. ¡Andale, Papito!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mixed feelings about this place. The customer service makes you feel like you’re bothering them: no smile, no goodbye, cold and overall a condescending attitude.
Had a good experience the first time I came but the second time was not pleasant.
When it comes to the food, on Tuesdays you get a deal for 3 tacos bought, you get 1 free.
The food is good but the way people bragged about it made me have higher expectations. The meat was tasty but almost dry.

Would have been better if the seating wasn’t outdoor but lucky it wasn’t cold for us.
Would definitely recommend adding cheese to your tacos.
